This model destroyer hull is for HMS CADIZ, a unit of the Battle class that were designed and built for service in WWII, HMS CADIZ was one of the Group 2 ships, although she was laid down at Fairfield yard in 1942 she was not commissioned until April 1946.
Designed for service in the Pacific HMS CADIZ indicates the very latest naval thinking of the time, the use of the Point Defence system against heavy air attack resulted in her being fitted with 10 x 40mm A/A guns, but still retaining two twin 4.5″ barbetted turrets for action against land forces and enemy shipping.
The hull is for twin screw use and features a well moulded hull complete with all plating detail, the plans included are supplied full size and come from the board of the world famous modeller Norman Ough.
