This model is off the German WWII. Class VIIc, U Boat (U-570) built by Krupp Germania, Kiel. launched March 1941.
Prototype history (click)
Whilst on patrol in Iceland in August 1940 she was attacked and disabled by RAF Coastal Command Aircraft. She stuck her colours to these aircraft, the craft was then captured by ships of the Royal Navy (her enigma machine was the first of such to be captured) after repairs she served in the Royal Navy under the name of HMS/M Graph. She was eventually lost on the 20/3/1944 on the west coast of Islay.
