About the model

Big and beautiful, this model is a must for tug lovers everywhere! A superb performer on the water which would make a good conversion to steam power if desired.

Equally at home as a static display model, the kit is a very rewarding build resulting in a highly desirable model.

Prototype history [click]
Cruiser was one of the last coal fired tugs to be built in Britain. Built by Alexander Hall of Aberdeen and launched in 1953, the tug went into service with the firm of Steel & Bennie, Glasgow. Converted to Diesel in 1963 she later changed owners and was renamed the Ardneil under which name she was seen to be working around North Wales & Liverpool until her recent sale abroad.
